Melbourne’s Bike Move Collective

Well…it’s pretty easy actually!

Send off a move request to our newsgroup

Firstly, you send an email to our newsgroup at melbournebikemove@lists.riseup.net and let them know the following

• Date of move
• Time of move
• How much stuff you want to move
• Start and end locations (a little map or googly maps would be cool and a route would be even cooler to give people an idea)
• Any plans for pre/post celebrations (heh every move like this should celebrate)

People being moved

Just make sure you have all your gear ready to go and put in small bags that could fit in panniers and trailers. People rock up with all sorts of gear to carry your stuff. We work on a pay-it-forward system or just plain let’s shake our booties while movin a house (translation: if you get some help from people to move your house think about how much that meant to you and pay that back in kind on future rides … we are only what we build in bike move community)

For those of you who are keen about joining the crew please don’t hesitate. All bicycles and alternative transportation types are welcome! And really it doesn’t matter how much you are able to bring it’s more about the community building, support, adventure, and fun that comes along with being a part of this beautiful movement.
